Ordering Procedures

General Procedures:
Individuals can complete the appropriate membership application at http://estore.asm.org. Full, Postdoctoral, and Transitional members save $2 by paying their dues online. Members who prefer to pay offline may do so by selecting the “Offline payment method” option on the ASM eStore’s pre-checkout page. Members can then print the supplied invoice to mail and submit with payment. Payments made by any method other than online are not eligible for the $2 discount. All Member payments should be sent to the Member Subscription Office.

Renewing member subscriptions:
Members can renew online by going to http://estore.asm.org/renew. Members preferring not to pay online with a credit card have the option of printing a customized invoice. To do so, you must access your online renewal and choose “Offline payment method” when you get to the pre-checkout page. An invoice suitable for printing will be produced, which you can then print and submit with your payment. Full members are eligible to receive $15 off select ASM Press titles in the ASM eStore if they renew their 2010 membership ONLINE by midnight EST 12/31/09. Producing a pro forma invoice, which is then faxed or mailed to ASM, does not constitute renewing online and will not qualify for a discount. No book discount is awarded to full member renewals processed online after 12/31/2009.

Activating Your Member Subscription:
Shortly after payment has been received in the ASM member subscription office, new subscribers will be sent an e-mail or letter with activation instructions. New online subscribers will need their ASM member customer number. Note that you will be creating a username and password for your online journal subscription; this is a separate profile from your ASM membership record. Activate Now»

Subscription Term:
An online subscription is for the calendar year. Once a subscription terminates, further access to the online journal will be denied unless renewed. However, free access is granted to a journal's archive (i.e., issues published more than six [6] months previously for the primary-research journals and one [1] year previously for the review journals).
